Enterprise Integrations
Enterprise integrations / technologies we work with
Connect AI to the systems your teams already use
TBW designs integration paths for enterprise knowledge, workflows and approved actions. The architecture below is illustrative—not a claim that these connectors are installed, live, certified or vendor-endorsed.
A controlled path from question to action
Connector design must follow each organization’s identity, data ownership and change-control rules. An AI model does not inherit blanket authority to act.
- 1 · Authenticate the user and connector
- 2 · Authorize the requested resource
- 3 · Retrieve only necessary data
- 4 · Validate outputs and proposed actions
- 5 · Approve consequential writes
- 6 · Execute and audit the outcome
See AI Security for the wider trust-boundary model.
Integration families
Technology names identify possible integration targets, not partnerships or a catalog of preconfigured connectors. Authentication and controls must be validated against the target tenant and current vendor APIs.
01 · Microsoft 365, Teams & SharePoint
- Common AI use cases
- Search approved documents, summarize team knowledge and draft collaboration updates.
- Typical authentication
- Microsoft Entra ID OAuth with delegated or application permissions as appropriate.
- Least privilege
- Restrict Graph scopes, sites, drives and mailboxes; avoid tenant-wide grants when narrower access is possible.
- Data flow & security
- Respect document ACLs and sensitivity labels; minimize retrieved content and control model-bound data.
- Logging & audit
- Record connector identity, resource, action and outcome without logging full document bodies.
- Sensitive writes
- Require an authorized reviewer before sending messages or changing files.

02 · Salesforce & CRM
- Common AI use cases
- Answer account questions from authorized records and prepare draft case or opportunity updates.
- Typical authentication
- OAuth connected app and a dedicated integration identity where appropriate.
- Least privilege
- Limit object, field and record access; use scoped permission sets.
- Data flow & security
- Honor sharing rules, exclude unnecessary personal data and validate outbound field mappings.
- Logging & audit
- Audit record reads and writes using available platform and integration logs.
- Sensitive writes
- Approve customer-facing communications and consequential CRM writes.

03 · ServiceNow
- Common AI use cases
- Summarize incidents, classify tickets and draft knowledge or change requests.
- Typical authentication
- OAuth or a managed service identity supported by the tenant.
- Least privilege
- Restrict tables, roles and API operations to approved workflows.
- Data flow & security
- Keep incident attachments and sensitive operational data within reviewed boundaries.
- Logging & audit
- Correlate request IDs, ticket IDs and changes while minimizing sensitive log content.
- Sensitive writes
- Require change-owner approval before closing incidents or executing changes.

04 · Jira
- Common AI use cases
- Find project context, summarize issues and propose updates.
- Typical authentication
- OAuth or scoped API token under a managed identity.
- Least privilege
- Grant access only to relevant projects and operations.
- Data flow & security
- Apply project permissions to retrieval; treat issue text and comments as untrusted input.
- Logging & audit
- Track issue keys, actor, operation and result in an audit trail.
- Sensitive writes
- Review issue transitions, assignments and external comments before writes.

05 · Slack
- Common AI use cases
- Retrieve approved channel context and draft team notifications.
- Typical authentication
- Slack OAuth app with reviewed bot/user scopes.
- Least privilege
- Restrict channel membership and scopes; avoid broad workspace history access.
- Data flow & security
- Filter private-channel and personal data; do not treat messages as instructions to the agent.
- Logging & audit
- Log message IDs, scope, actor and delivery status rather than full conversations.
- Sensitive writes
- Human review before posting broadly or messaging external parties.

06 · Google Workspace
- Common AI use cases
- Search approved Drive files, summarize documents and prepare calendar or Gmail drafts.
- Typical authentication
- Google OAuth with consent; domain-wide delegation only after explicit administrative review.
- Least privilege
- Limit API scopes and shared-drive/user reach.
- Data flow & security
- Preserve Drive ACLs and classification; minimize prompt contents and retention.
- Logging & audit
- Log file IDs, actions and outcomes with privacy-aware retention.
- Sensitive writes
- Approve outbound email, invitations and file-sharing changes.

07 · n8n & workflow automation
- Common AI use cases
- Orchestrate bounded handoffs and trigger reviewed automations.
- Typical authentication
- Server-side credential vault, signed webhook or managed API credential as supported.
- Least privilege
- Expose only allowlisted workflows and narrow execution identities.
- Data flow & security
- Validate webhook payloads and keep secrets and n8n administration private.
- Logging & audit
- Correlate run ID, initiator, step outcomes and errors.
- Sensitive writes
- Gate high-impact workflow branches before execution.

08 · Databases & enterprise data
- Common AI use cases
- Retrieve governed facts and generate attributed answers.
- Typical authentication
- Read-only service account or short-lived managed identity.
- Least privilege
- Use approved views, row/column rules and query limits; no direct admin access.
- Data flow & security
- Parameterize queries, classify results and avoid exposing raw credentials or unrestricted tables.
- Logging & audit
- Log query purpose, identity, dataset and result metadata, not sensitive rows.
- Sensitive writes
- Review any mutation or export before execution.

09 · REST APIs, CRM/ERP & internal apps
- Common AI use cases
- Connect line-of-business workflows and prepare validated actions.
- Typical authentication
- OAuth, mTLS or scoped service credentials according to the system.
- Least privilege
- Allowlist endpoints and operations; enforce per-user authorization server-side.
- Data flow & security
- Validate schemas and destination, prevent replay, redact payloads and isolate trust zones.
- Logging & audit
- Record request IDs, endpoint, actor, approval and outcome.
- Sensitive writes
- Require owner sign-off for financial, identity or customer-impacting writes.

Build the narrow path first
Start with a specific business question, named data owner and approved actions. Map identity and permissions; pilot read-only retrieval before enabling writes. Test denial, timeout, malformed inputs and rollback with the system owner.
For retrieval workflows, explore RAG. For bounded action workflows, see Agentic AI.
Operator checkpoint
Requester → scoped connector → policy check → draft action → human reviewer → system write → audit receipt
This technical illustration is a design pattern, not a currently available self-service console.
Plan an integration around your controls
Discuss existing systems, permissions, data boundaries and approval owners before choosing a connector or model.
